Access to Service, Activities and Facilities by Disabled Individuals
Southern California Health Institute will make reasonable accommodations to individuals including auxiliary aids and services to those individuals with a bona-fide disability. Southern California Health Institute will not fundamentally alter the nature of its programs, nor will it provide accommodations that are considered unreasonable and that would significantly alter the programs of study and services that Southern California Health Institute provides students. Requests for auxiliary aids and services to accommodate a disability should be submitted via a written request to the Director of Education prior to starting classes at Southern California Health Institute.
Access to Career and Placement Services
Career and placement services are available to students and graduates, but there are no guarantees on employment, likelihood of employment, level of employment or the type of job title a student shall receive. Students will be advised of job postings and interview opportunities by the Career Services Department. Students will also be advised on how to prepare for a job interview, which includes resume preparations and how to conduct themselves in an interview. Alumni are also encouraged to reach out to the Career Services Department for possible employment opportunities.
Accreditation and Approvals
Southern California Health Institute (SOCHi) is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award a certificate credential. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is recognized by the Council For Higher Education Accreditation.
Southern California Health Institute (SOCHi) was granted institutional approval in 1996 from the Bureau for Private Post-Secondary Education (BPPE) pursuant to California Education Code, Article 9, Section 94915. Southern California Health Institute (SOCHi) California Code number is 1925331. The bureau's approval means that the institute and its operation comply with the required standards established under the law for occupational instruction by private post-secondary educational institutions. Southern California Health Institute (SOCHi) is not a public institution. The school is a privately owned vocational school.
Articulation Agreement
Southern California Health Institute does not currently engage in articulation agreements with any other school, college or university. Please see the “Transfer Credit” policy stated in this catalog for more information regarding transfer of coursework out of, or into, Southern California Health Institute.
Availability of Employees for Dissemination of Information
The Campus Director, and Director of Student Services are available during normal business hours to provide students or prospective students information. Financial Aid information is available by contacting the Director of Student Finance during normal business hours. Institutional information such as completion and/or graduation rates, retention rates, institutional information, crime statistics and/or security policies can be provided by the Campus Director upon request.

Immunization Policy
SOCHi recommends that all students protect themselves and their clients by receiving the immunizations listed below. Externship sites, volunteer opportunities, and student projects may require students to provide documentation of current immunizations.

Timely Warning and Emergency Notification
In compliance with the U.S. Department of Higher Education and the Jeanne Clery Act, security notices are issued to provide timely warning information regarding serious and ongoing threats that may impact the campus community and or their property in order to provide our students and employees with the information necessary to make decisions or take appropriate actions to ensure their safety. Additional information can be found in the campus security report. Southern California Health Institute has implemented an emergency management text notification system for all current students, faculty and staff. Students and employees are automatically added to the system at the time of enrollment or hire. In the event of an emergency, information on where to go and what steps to take to insure safety will be transmitted. Also, in the event of school closures or evacuations, the information will be sent through the emergency text notification system. Those that wish to opt out of receiving the emergency text messages should notify SOCHi reception or the Campus Director.
Emergency Response/Evacuation
In the event of an emergency, Southern California Health Institute has established procedures and evacuation plan for all sections of the building. Administrators will relay information on how to proceed in an emergency absent of alarms or PA notifcations through the emergency warning text notification. Evacuation plans are posted in all areas of the buildings and can be found here. (click) In the event of an emergency, remain calm and follow all instructions given by building security or emergency response personnel. If you witness an event that requires an emergency response, do not hesitate to call 911 and then contact faculty or administration
