I am coming up to my last week of school at SOCHI in the massage therapy program. I had attended another massage therapy school previously (A2Z Health in Reseda) and this program is above and beyond superior in every way. I had to check out other schools as part of the approval process to go to SOCHI (Went to both Everest and NHI) and SOCHI came out ahead by leaps and bounds. They did not call to pressure me to go there, their program is one of a kind and incredibly thorough, and the teachers were all very passionate and knowledgeable and have become my friends. I went to the afternoon class which is small and intimate, there are 3 class schedules to meet all your needs (morning and evening have more students). Anyone who is willing to put in the work is going to receive an excellent education, but this is not the school for someone who is lazy or unwilling to put forth any effort. You get out of it what you put in, and it is not the industry for people who need their hand held constantly. I have not even graduated yet, and I am receiving calls for interviews left and right, and have been able to help people in the clinic with a myriad of health issues. Not to mention I attended this school 100% FOR FREE. Be sure to ask them about their financial aid and workforce/veteran services, you may even be able to get an education at no cost at all to you.
The campus is incredibly clean and well maintained and has many amenities for students. The career counseling services are great and they will help place you in jobs forever after attending the school.
As far as the massage clinic, KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A SCHOOL. The prices are cheap because you are receiving student massages in a private curtained atmosphere, but there are not private rooms. Students can be at any point in their 9-10 month massage studies, so massages here will vary (be sure to ask how far along the students are in their studies when booking if this concerns you). It works much the same way as going to a student hairstyling school. The school runs groupons often although their prices are already very affordable.
